All Kooline Salad Bar Display Cabinets are powered by a Refrigeration System consisting of
Coldplate and Cross Fin Topcoil.
This System ensures that your product in the salad bowls can be kept as cold as you like, with a
Cross Fin Topcoil that will convect cooling down without any drying effects of product  as seen with the
fan forced air models.

USER INSTRUCTIONS  -  KOOLINE SALAD DISPLAY CABINETS

1. REMOVE ALL PACKING FROM CABINET AND CLEAR ANY DUST OR DIRT FROM TRANSPORT.

2. UNPACK MIDSHELF (IF SUPPLIED) AND INSTALL ON ADJUSTABLE SLIDES.

3. UNPACK SLIDERS AND INSTALL BY LIFTING GENTLY UPWARDS INTO TOP TRACK AND

    LOWERING ONTO BOTTOM TRACK, MAKE SURE WHEELS ARE ON TRACK.

    (LUBRICATION OF THESE WHEELS REGULARLY WITH LIGHT MACHINE OIL WILL GIVE BETTER

     OPERATION AND INCREASE THEIR LIFE.)

4. NOTE THAT ANY POWER POINTS SUPPLIED ON CABINET MUST BE DIRECTLY WIRED BY YOUR ELECTRICIAN

    ONCE THE CABINET IS ON SITE.   (DO NOT CONNECT ANY POWER POINT TO THE REFRIGERATION UNIT)

5. MAKE SURE THE CABINET IS LEVEL BY ADJUSTING THE LEGS TO SUIT.

    Note:  IF THE CABINET IS NOT LEVEL YOU MAY HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE OPERATION OF THE SLIDERS.

6. MAKE SURE THE FLEXIBLE DRAIN IS IN A CONTAINER, OR IF YOU REQUIRE, THE DRAIN MAY

     BE DIRECTLY PLUMBED INTO AN ON SITE WASTE. IF YOUR CABINET HAS AN EVAPOURATION TRAY

     MAKE SURE THAT FOOD PARTICLES DO NOT FIND THEIR WAY INTO THIS TRAY AS IT CAN CAUSE

      FOOD ACID DAMAGE & CORROSION OF THE COPPER HEATING TUBES.

7. PLUG IN THE REFRIGERATION UNIT AND TURN ON, WAIT TILL THE CABINET HAS REACHED TEMPERATURE 

    BEFORE LOADING WITH PRODUCT.

8. HOT FOOD DISPLAY – DIMMER SWITCH SHOULD BE TURNED DOWN BEFORE SWITCHING ON.

     BOTTOM ELEMENT THERMOSTAT SHOULD BE TURNED TILL PILOT LIGHT COMES ON, THEN SLOWLY ADJUST UNTIL TEMPERATURE REACHES 60 DEGREES CENTIGRADE.

 

TROUBLESHOOTING:

NOTE: SOME PRODUCTS SUCH AS ONION, IF LEFT OPEN IN A DISPLAY CAN CAUSE FOOD ACID DAMAGE

            TO THE CROSS FIN TOPCOIL

1. IF BOTTOM FREEZING HAPPENS TO PRODUCT STORED ON COLDPLATE - 

    ELEVATE THE PRODUCT WITH INVERTED TRAYS.

2. IF ANY DRAIN BLOCKS, USE A ½ INCH HOSE WITH WATER PRESSURE TO CLEAR.

3. IF CABINET SUDDENLY LOSES TEMPERATURE:

    CHECK: 1. IF ELECTRICITY SUPPLY HAS BEEN CUT OFF OR PLUG REMOVED OR DISCONNECTED.

    CHECK: 2. IF PLASTIC BAG OR SOME OTHER RUBBISH MAY HAVE BEEN SUCKED ONTO THE FRONT OF THE

    CONDENSER OF THE REFRIGERATION UNIT CAUSING OVERHEATING OF UNIT.

    IF NONE OF THE ABOVE, CONSULT YOUR LOCAL SERVICE REFRIGERATION MECHANIC.

4. THE TOPCOIL IN YOUR CABINET SHOULD STAY FAIRLY CLEAR OF ICE BUILD-UP.

ICE CAN TEND TO BUILD UP IF THE CABINET IS USED VERY HEAVILY. (DOORS ARE OPEN FOR LONG PERIODS)

    IF YOU FIND THAT THE ICE IS BUILDING UP, GIVE THE CABINET A MANUAL DEFROST, (TURN IT OFF)

    MAKE SURE YOU DEFROST BEFORE IT IS A SOLID BLOCK,  AS THIS WILL TAKE MUCH LONGER TO

    DEFROST.  

IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER A TIMECLOCK DEFROST. (SIMPLE PLUG IN DEVICE)

IN A NORMAL USEAGE SITUATION THE CABINET SHOULD BE DEFROSTED 1 OR 2 TIMES A WEEK

TO CLEAR ICE FROM THE COLDPLATE AND TOPCOIL AND CLEAR AWAY ANY PARTICLES.

MAINTENANCE:

1. WHEN DEFROSTING THE CABINET, DO NOT PUT HOT WATER DIRECT ONTO ANY COLD SURFACES, AS THIS MAY CAUSE DAMAGE.

2. BLOW DUST OUT OF CONDENSER ON UNIT AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR.

3. STAINLESS STEEL, IF SCRATCHED, CAN BE MADE TO LOOK NEW WITH SCOTCHBRITE, RUBBING WITH THE GRAIN.

4. POWDERCOATING IF SCRATCHED, CAN BE MADE TO LOOK NEW, IF RUBBED WITH FINE CUTTING COMPOUND.
