Kooline Manufacturing
of Butcher Display Cabinets
Why Kooline Butchers Display Cabinets are the Best Quality Display Cabinets you
can buy on the market today.
We have been manufacturing cabinets to their strict requirements and
specifications since 1978.
We pride ourselves on producing a quality Product.
All of our manufacturing practices are aimed at a quality finish product, we
will not sacrifice Quality for Speed, and our Directors are both experienced
Tradesmen with 60 years of experience between them and are always incorporating
the latest methods and work practices to improve the finished product.
When we build a Fully Stainless Steel Cabinet for the Meat Industry, it is just
that, every part is Food Grade Stainless Steel 304 Grade. (Even the parts you
can not see easily)
Base:
1. Kooline Cabinets have a solid Stainless Steel R.H.S. fully welded base
frame which gives each cabinet integral strength for transporting, no
matter what size it may be.
2. Floor sheeting on the base frame is built for easy cleaning and sweep
out design.
3. Where Legs are used, a fully welded 316 Grade attachment is used so
the stainless steel adjustable legs will not corrode or weaken over time.
4. All sheeting is silicon sealed to prevent vermin from entering the
base.
Body:
1. Kooline cabinets are constructed so the body of the cabinet is extremely
strong when finished, this is proven when the cabinet is lifted in our workshop
by overhead crane and very little flex is evident, even over an 8 Mtr length.
2. We also have a manufacturing process using Polyurethane Foaming Resin
which increases the strength of the cabinet a tremendous amount.
3. All rivets used in manufacture are monel and stainless steel.
Refrigeration System:
1. The refrigeration system we have developed for our meat display cabinets
is a very efficient one for North Queensland conditions. We incorporate the
Coldplate and Crossfin Topcoil System.
This form of refrigeration has proved to be very efficient, especially when a
considerable load is put on the cabinet in times such as busy periods of
operation.
2. Our engineering of refrigeration systems takes into account the higher
ambient temperatures we encounter in North Queensland. Our choice of
refrigeration equipment is only with the quality brand names, the tried and
proven products. We also have a warranty of 2 years on compressors. The
refrigeration gases we use are the latest standard and environmentally safe.
Coldplate:
1. We use a heavier thickness stainless steel for the coldplate and all
are manufactured in a manner which is unique to our company. We use straps of
stainless steel which are bent firmly over the copper tube on the underside of
the plate, it is then welded in 4 places in relation to each crossing of the
tube so that the tube can never lift from the plate. Pinning is the most
common used method by other manufacturers (for speed of production) this method
in time will break away because of expansion and contraction, the copper tube
will then part from the plate.
This will never happen with a Kooline Cabinet because of our superior
manufacturing technique.
2. Transfer sealant is also applied to each side of the tube so the max
cold transfer is obtained.
3. All coldplates are pressure tested in the workshop before
installation.
Insulation:
1. Polyurethane Foaming Resin is used under the coldplate at a thickness
of 110mm
(double what other manufacturers install) and also in the side walls and roof
sections.
2. This Insulation is considered to be the most efficient of its type for
this application.
Crossfin Topcoil:
1. We use only the best quality (coated) crossfin topcoils for our
cabinets and we always allow for a double level coil for extra capacity to keep
product at optimum temperature. You can pile product as high as you like and not
have to worry about load limits or temperature problems.
Crossfin Topcoil: Continued
2. The Capability of the user to store product in the display overnight
is now possible with this system, with previous systems the Queensland Meat
Authority required butchers to empty display cabinets and store product in a
coldroom overnight, but now, with this system it is acceptable to store for
longer periods in the display. This very efficient refrigeration system gives a
much longer shelf life for your product. Butchers have also told us that the
Static System of refrigeration does not dry the meat like forced draught cooled
systems.
3. We have developed a system of drain tray under our crossfin coil which
catches the water droplets efficiently, but lets a great percentage of the
cooled air through the tray by a vented system, this improves refrigeration
capacity to its maximum.
Cabinetwork - Laminated Ledges, Tops, Ends, Etc.
1. All Cabinetwork used on a Kooline Cabinets incorporates Structural Ply
(No Partical Board)
Because of the nature of commercial refrigeration is such that moisture is
present, either in the butcher shop for cleaning or in the washing out of the
cabinet, it is very important to make sure that the materials used can withstand
moisture in the long term.
Glass:
1. All glass used in Kooline cabinets is of a minimum thickness of 6mm.
It is installed in such a manner that it can be replaced if a breakage occurs,
we take great care when manufacturing cabinets that glass has clearance in the
building process, in other words nothing binds on it so as to cause a crack or
breakage when being transported. We also trim all glass to stop any edges from
being knocked. We have a full range of curved and flat glass cabinet styles.
(Single and Double Glazed)
2. Sliding glass doors in our cabinets are of 6mm thickness and have
Lidco stainless steel rollers,
Top and bottom tracks are fully stainless steel, Stainless steel fly channels to
each end.
Lights:
1. Stainless steel fluro type lights.
2. Biolux meat display lights are supplied.
3. Protective Plastic Tube covers are supplied
Drains:
1. Drains in coldplates are fully welded 25mm diameter stainless steel.
2. Drains from topcoil trays are fully welded 12mm diameter stainless
steel directed to over coldplate drain so no build up of ice occurs.
Powder Coating:
1. All powder coating is on stainless steel so no corrosion appears later
after fixing of sheet.
2. Large range of colours are available.
Installation:
1. Our company can install cabinets on site if required, or can supply Ex
workshop if required.
